For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  (Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬).

Almighty God is a good God and the plan he has for us his children is of good and not of evil.
God wants the best for us. He will not give us anything that will bring us hurt/harm.

Sometimes we desire and long for things which God knows that they are not good for us and they will not be beneficial for us.  Things that may become a distraction and affect our relationship with God instead of bringing us closer to  God. In that case, he may say “No”  or “Wait,” in which case we must wait for the right time when we are more matured spiritually to handle it.

We need to cultivate the virtue of patience.
When we learn to be patient and wait on God’s timing,  we will enjoy his blessings that make rich and add no sorrow. According to Proverbs 10:22,
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it.

When God blesses his children,  it is a thing of great joy. Those who receive the blessings and everyone who sees or hears about it will glorify God.
