“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.“
Colossians 3:12 NKJV.
According to this Bible verse, we are to wear humility as a daily “garment“. Something we choose to put on every day.
Let us reflect on this question: If you were “dressed” in humility today, how would you respond differently to criticism?
You do not just “feel” humble, or “act“, but you clothe yourself in it. Like a coat that protects you from the cold, humility protects your heart from the “chills” of pride and resentment. It is a daily, conscious choice to make.
Think of practical ways to apply this. Before you leave the house or start your work, say this prayer: “Lord, help me wear your humility today in every interaction, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
