But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31 KJV

The main emphasis here is waiting upon the LORD. Waiting upon the LORD means being patient and remaining optimistic in his presence,  knowing that whatever the case may be,  the Lord will answer us. Even if the answer may not be what we expected,  but we are sure that his answer is for our own good, because God says in Jeremiah 29, that his plan for us, is of good and not of evil.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

As we wait upon the LORD,  he will renew our strength and we will mount up with wings like that of eagles. when we walk, we shall not faint and when we run, we shall not be weary.

God strengthens and empowers us on every side when we wait on him patiently.
