What brings a tear of joy to your eye?
When you have a problem that has lingered for sometime without solution and you are almost at the brink of giving up, then suddenly you receive a positive answer.
It is a thing of great joy. The joy is always mingled with tears because at this point you can clearly see the hand of God working in the whole situation.
It makes me realize that God’s delay does not always mean denial. Sometimes he may says, “No my child, what you are asking for is not good for you.” Sometimes, he may say. “Wait my child, I will give it to you but not now.” But we may not understand God’s ways, so we keep stressing and fussing about the thing.
If only we could learn to wait on the Lord patiently, just as he said in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
When we learn to wait on the Lord patiently and prayerfully, he will show up in a wonderful way, that will make us rejoice and shed some tears of joy and at the same time enjoy his peace that passes all understanding.
