“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.” (Luke 6:32).
We are called to love like Jesus, that means loving everyone including those we consider difficult to love.
To love like Jesus means stretching our capacity to love beyond our “comfort zone.”
The “Pharisee” in us will love only our friends; but the “Christ” in us will love our friends and our enemies. Loving difficult people is the ultimate proof that the Spirit of God is working in us. It is the hardest, but most rewarding. It brings spiritual and emotional healing and wellness.
Reflect on who is the most “difficult” person in your life right now, and pray for God to bless them today.
Pray for their success and well-being and see God perform miracles in their lives as well as in yours.
