Jesus Christ gives us the peace that we have been searching for.
Not the temporary peace that comes when everything is going according to plan, but the supernatural peace that remains even in the middle of the storm.
There are moments when your mind becomes overwhelmed with questions.
What will happen tomorrow?
Will everything work out well?
Will your prayers be answered?
Then you hear the whisper in your heart, “Do not be afraid. I am with you.”
The word of God said in John 14 verse 27. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” This is God’s promise to his children, not to be troubled but rather to trust him.
We must be grateful and thank God for being our refuge when life becomes difficult. He is always ready and willing to protect us in all circumstances and situations.
Prayer. Heavenly Father, please calm every anxious heart.
Silence every fearful thought.
Strengthen everyone who feels overwhelmed.
Teach us to trust You even when we cannot understand what You are doing.
May Your peace guard our hearts and minds.
And when the storms rise, help us remember, that the One who is with us is greater than the storm around us, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
